 The more functionality a WordPress site has, the more time needed to make updates to that website. These are a selection of the essential services that support your website.

Core WordPress Updates

Major upgrades to WordPress are released about twice a year and minor releases happen as and when needed. Sometimes you might have certain features that are no longer supported. A plugin that you are using may no longer be compatible with the new version of WordPress.

Theme Updates

Your website theme controls what it looks like. From the layout of the pages to the colour and fonts you use. From time to time the developer of the theme may release updates to fix a bug or add a new feature.

Plugin Updates

A plugin adds extra functionality to your website so it’s important that any bug fixes are taken care of swiftly. Similar to themes, plugin developers may also want to add new features so will release updates for these changes.

Backups

A website backup is a copy of all your website files. I store this backup away from your hosting provider and away from your site for extra security and peace of mind. This is so that if anything happens to your site, I can quickly restore it.

Uptime Monitoring

I monitor your site to ensure that it is online and available to your audience 24/7. If it goes offline and you can't access it, I’ll get it fixed and working for you.

Content updates

I’ll add new blog posts, new products, make small tweaks where required and anything else that you need to keep your website up to date. If you’d like to handle this yourself, I can provide simple instructional videos or 1-1 Zoom tutorials.

Site audit

I provide an independent health check of your website using industry standard audit tools. I look at both desktop and mobile performance and I’ll also look at missing metadata, broken links and more. You’ll then receive a comprehensive report on the health of your website.

Please note that for any sites not built by Two Cows Web, I charge £139 for a site health check audit. This is so I can determine how it was built and identify any potential issues that could arise when I look after it.

All of my care plans are run as a monthly rolling contract. You can move to an annual subscription whenever you like. I offer a 10% discount off all care plans when you pay upfront for the year.
